Distribution of premium by coverage
- The distribution by premium by coverage remained relatively stable year over year.
- In 2016, 61.6% of policyholders purchased liability insurance for between $1 and $2 million. Ten years earlier, 33.1% of policyholders chose this amount of insurance, with the majority, 66.5%, choosing liability insurance of between $500,000 and $1 million. The shift explains the larger share of liability in the average total premium.
