Access to Information Request Under the Act
If you wish to consult your Claims History Statement or make a verification request in order to correct information in your claims file, we invite you to use our online consultation services.
Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA) is mandated by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) to process requests for access or verification to the FCSA.
Under the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information (CQLR, c. A-2/1) (“Act respecting Access”), you have the right to access personal information that concerns you, as well as the right to correct information that is not correct, incomplete or ambiguous, or if the collection, communication or conservation of such information is not authorized under the law.
However, if you have already requested a verification of your Claims History Statement and you still disagree with the information contained in your statement, we suggest that you contact the insurer directly, since GAA is not authorized to correct the information contained in your file without its agreement. Also, GAA cannot change the decisions made by an insurer, such as the percentage of liability established in the event of an accident or the amount of compensation paid to you.
To make a request for access or rectification to GAA's information access officer, please send it by post or email to the following address:
