Making the FCSA Claims History Statement easier to understand

Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA) is proud to launch “Understanding your Claims History Statement”, a new online tool that explains the Fichier central des sinistres automobiles (FCSA) statement to consumers.
The tool has three sections:
1) Understanding your Claims History Statement: explains each part of the statement and important concepts such as claim versions and liability.
2) Frequently Asked Questions: provides answers to the most frequently asked questions about the FCSA.
3) Lexicon: explains all the terms on the statement.
FCSA: a popular service among consumers
The FCSA receives over 2 million consultations by insurers and brokers every year. Consumers can also view their Claims History Statement and have its content checked directly on the GAA website. This option is growing in popularity with over 35,000 views in 2020. Consumers are careful to shop around and want to understand their statement. In fact, one in four calls to the Insurance Information Centre is about the FCSA.
With this launch, GAA is continuing to fulfill its goal of meeting consumer’s needs and expectations by offering them tools aligned with digital trends.
