Q.E.F. No. 4-20 – Travel Expenses: Correction of the English version

An error was identified in the first bullet of section "4.3.1 Description of travel expenses" of the English version of the Q.E.F. No. 4-20 endorsement Series amended and published by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in its notice of November 28, 2024. In fact, reference was made to the definition of "temporary replacement vehicle", whereas it does not exist in the wording of Q.P.F. No. 4 – Garage Form.
Excerpt from the incorrect wording
4.3.1 Description of travel expenses
If the named insured is no longer able to use the insured vehicle due to a covered loss, the insurer will reimburse expenses incurred for:
- leasing of a temporary replacement vehicle of a similar category to the insured vehicle;

The following correction has been made so that the term "temporary replacement vehicle" is replaced by "motor vehicle":

4.3.1 Description of travel expenses
If the named insured is no longer able to use the insured vehicle due to a covered loss, the insurer will reimburse expenses incurred for:
- leasing of a motor vehicle of a similar category as a temporary replacement for the insured vehicle;

The correction mentioned above applies to the following English endorsements:
- E.F. No. 4-20 – Travel expenses (Section B)
- E.F. No. 4-20a – Travel expenses (broad form) (Section B)
- E.F. No. 4-20b – Travel expenses and Loss of Income (Section B)
- E.F. No. 4-20c – Travel expenses and Loss of Income (broad form) (Section B)
