Guarantee access to auto insurance and streamline claims settlement
The mission of Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA) is to ensure access to automobile insurance, facilitate the settlement of claims, and support the evolution of automobile insurance in Québec, for the benefit of consumers.
In addition to guaranteeing the minimum amount of civil liability insurance, GAA, working together with auto insurers, set up a mechanism aimed at offering consumers, where possible, more comprehensive insurance which better meets their needs. This enhanced mechanism applies only to private passenger vehicles.
GAA holds education campaigns for consumers to inform them about insurance coverage and the claims settlement process. It also offers prevention advice to reduce the risk of accidents and theft.
