- The cost of a claim paid under collision coverage was $8,023 in 2023. The amount paid under the civil liability coverage amounted to $7,168. From 2013 to 2023, the cost of a claim paid under collision coverage doubled, from $4,000 to $8,000.
Note: Under direct compensation coverage, damages to the vehicle of the driver not responsible for the accident are paid as civil liability.
