According to claims experience
An individual’s past experience is a predictive factor of the probability that they will be involved in a claim in the future.
- Drivers who had accidents for which they were responsible in previous years have a higher claims frequency in the current year and thus pay higher premiums.
- In 2021, drivers who had three accidents for which they were responsible in 2018-2020 had a claims frequency of 21.87%. In contrast, drivers who had no “responsible accidents” during the same period had a claims frequency of only 8.72%.
